Lab Engineer – PVT Experimentation

FULL-TIME / ONSITE – GOSLAR, GERMANY

While developed for the upstream oil and gas industry, our innovations, technologies, and solutions are scalable, expandable, and portable across other subsurface energy systems such as the underground storage of hydrogen and carbon dioxide, important elements in a carbon emission-free energy economy.

We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic, and well-organised personality on a full-time basis to strengthen our multidisciplinary team in our office at the Energy Campus in Goslar.
You have a university degree with focus on petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, natural science or comparable? You have broad background in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, physical chemistry and process engineering? You are familiar with PVT experimentation? You have a service-oriented attitude and entrepreneurial spirit? Then you are exactly right with us.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and perform laboratory PVT & Phase Behaviour experiments (microfluidic and conventional)
  • Data interpretation and modelling of complex fluid mixtures using commercial PVT software
  • Compositional analysis of complex fluids using techniques such as Gas Chromatography (GC)
  • Preparation of PVT reports

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, natural science or comparable
  • Broad knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, physical chemistry and process engineering
  • Experience in PVT & Phase Behaviour experimentation
  • Creative, self-confident, and detail-oriented team player with methodical and structured way of working
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
  • Work permit
