Coreflooding

From analogue outcrop to recompacted sandpack

RCA

  • Routine Core Analysis (RCA) to measure basic rock properties including but not limited to porosity, permeability and grain density.

Conservative Tracer Tests

  • Conservative tracer tests are performed to determine rock heterogeneity.

Single Phase cEOR

  • Injection of EOR slugs at reservoir conditions, including but not limited to alkaline, surfactant, polymer, carbon dioxide.
cEOR
  • Measurement of effluent ions by IC/ICP-EOD/ICP-MS, chemical concentration by NMR and nanoparticles by DLS within collected effluent samples to determine EOR interaction with rock material.

Two Phase cEOR (Dead Oil)

  • Injection of aqueous EOR slug into the core at a suitable constant injection rate at reservoir temperature.
  • Effluent (produced fluid) collection using a fraction collector and measurement of phase volumes by visual metering of fluid levels (oleic, aqueous and microemulsion phase volumes).

Two Phase cEOR (Live Oil)

  • Multicomponent solution gas synthesis (H2, N2, CO2, C1-C8) at desired temperature and pressure.
  • Injection of aqueous cEOR slug into the core at a suitable constant injection rate at reservoir temperature.
  • Effluent (produced fluid) collection using a fraction collector and measurement of phase volumes by visual metering of fluid levels (oleic, aqueous and emulsion phase volumes).
